Artisan Business Training Program 328-565- 6 Central City Community Center 615 South 3rd East 322-243- Leadership, Education and Promotion (LEAP) provided training for 100 individuals in the areas f as'c education, clerical skills, auto metals, and food services. mechanics, Has Manpower Planning Council State Capitol Bldg. Provides work experiences and pay for youngsters in artistic endeavors. 6 Object is to equip the minority youth with the tools required to obtain employment and assist them in job placement. Programs have been established in areas of clerical training, tutoring of elementary sessions, black history and drug students, inter-groueducation. Emphasis on dealing with minority youngsters and their problems. Nettie Gregory Center 742 W. South Temple 364-067- 4 p Community Development Project 444 South Second West S. L. Project works closely with the Utah Division of Industrial Promotion, the Small Business Administration, Utah Office of Community Affairs, Utah Migrant Council Manpower and Economic Development Task Force, etc. Provides technical assistance to businessmen. County 359-379- 5 Summer Youth Training and Forestry Project S. L. County e Northwest 1300 West 2nd North Multi-purpos- Center 322-128- 1 Intake Casework Service Juvenile Court Judges 3522 South 6th West 262-260- 1 Summer employment centered in east Millcreek Canyon and provided employment for 40 delinquent and predelinquent youths between ages of 14 and 18. Included summer work and counseling. Works with intake program at Juvenile Court. Utilizes available community resources and contacts, group seminars and visits to the home of the children in detention and joint consultations with parents and children. Extended Shelter Care County - Detention Center 3534 South 6th West S. L. 262-332- Police Tactical Squads 5 S. L. C. Corp. Hall of Justice Bldg. The Shelter Home is 60 complete. The facility will provide a temporary group home for youngsters referred by the Juvenile Court. Concentrates on high crime incident areas.
