Show tfaeaHrire Summer Festival Starts With Barber Of Seville The 19th annual University of Utah Summer Festival is embarking on a series of firsts in connection with this years presentations. For the first time, the productions will move indoors, from the wide open spaces of the stadium to the air conditioned comfort of the Pioneer Memorial Theatre According to Dr. Keith M. Engar, Theatre Executive Director, the forthcoming festival will also innovate three productions instead of two. The schedule calls for the entertainment spectacular to open with the presentation of an opera. Next will come a play and the closing production will be a ballet. The opera will be Rossinis famous Barber of Seville," which will feature members of the Utah Symphony. This will be their last public leaving for appearance Greece. Opera with the orchestra in the theatre is another first for the festival. Barber of Seville will be shown from June 24 through July 1, with the exception of June 26. Roy Samuelson, one of the countries leading baritones, will star as Figaro, the barber of Seville. Ap. pearing with him wil be Carolyn Lewis as Rosina and tenor Larry Stowe as Count Almaviva. Dr. Engar has announced that the Pioneer Memorial Theatre is accepting orders for tickets, which will be delivered after May 1.
