Show Baseball Fever League To Plan Season Grips Holladay A sure sign of Spring is the err of Play Ball." The Holladay League of the Western Boys Baseball Association recently sprang into Spring with election of officers and plans for a new baseball field. Elected were Ray Moffatt, president; Ross Bartow, vice president-financ- e and pubhcityi'Kam Kammerlohr, vice president -- construction; Bud White, vice president -- league Election of officers, team and player registration is on the agenda for the Mount Olympus Pony Baseball League meeting, Tuesday, March operations; Elmo Call, secretary-treasure- r; Mary Ann Spaulding, head scorekeeper. Plans are underway to. provide a Home" for the Holladay League. The new field, now under construction, will be located in the vacant lot near 3900 South and Wasatch Boulevard. After the field in leveled and fenced, construction will start on concession stands, dugouts and bleachers. A sprinkling system will be installed and the entire area landscaped. Materials and labor have been donated. Badly needed to complete the field are concrete blocks, chain link fencing, pipes and lumber. Registration for league players and teams. will be held at 7:30 P M , Thursday, April 1, in the Cottonwood Elementary School auditorium. In addition, a film of the 1964 World Series will be presented. Boys, 9 through 12 years old, who live in the boundaries of 3900 South to 5600 South and 2300 East to the mountains are eligible to participate in the league. Their week of activities will begin at services Sunday, March 14, at the Christ Methodist Church, 2375 East 3300 South. Activities will include George Papadakis, assisted by Mrs. Connie Reynolds, will demonstrate how to maintain distributing pamphlets, working with city offices in Midvale and their first anniversary dinner. A pancake breakfast will conclude the week s events, Sunday, March 21, at the Masonic Temple.
