Barbara Although a great deal of time has been consumed in setting up the Daily Demand Computer Scheduling, the Office of Experimental Programs announced Wednesday that a new program had been charted for BY High for the near future. It is called Student Demand Scheduling. It is expected that it will take a major work load off from teachers under the "flexible scheduling" system. Under the program, any student who feels that he can accomplish more, academically, by staying home during a school day. merely calls in his demand, and is excused from that day of school. Each student is alloted a specific number of days which he can use in any semester. More days are allowed for those with higher grade point averages. The idea for the system originated when student panels noted regularly to curriculum planning boards that oftentimes when they were sick and forced to stay home, that they accomplished increased amounts of school work on their own.
