Going to cats' Library center for short feline home making By Lorraine Clark The BY High Library was favored by two homeless beasts recently: a cat and a kitten. "Please. Miss Berry, a dog was chasmg it; it is so very cold outside," Pam Hawkins pleaded, holding in her arms a long, skinny calico cat. This cat, the first of which seemed to be a series, was christened "F. Jammine" in honor of the Junior Class. After following Pam Hawkins to school from the tennis courts, it spent the whole clay in the Library asleep. It was then returned to the courts to find its way home. It surprised many students that Miss June Berry would allow this. Miss Berry was re- - ported to have said however, As long as it is quiet, its all right if it stays: just like students. if they are quiet, I won't kick them out. The grand surprise came when the next day Mrs. Sandberg sneaked into the Library cuddling in her arms a little black ball of fur which had followed her to school. Libby was much more lively and F. Jasmine. playful than Anna Maria Petry fell in love with it and gave it a good home. Everyone is now anxiously awaiting the next arrival, speculating which it will be. But, according to Miss Berry, Libby" was the second and last feline visitor. |
