A lot of hard work has been put out by members, with the support of their parents who have been 100?o behind them. The studentbody has helped. Usually forced, but they pulled through. If any of the students saw some faithful college student carrying a little bag filled with goodies, it was for the benefit of our band. Cookies were to brought and sold. Well shall we say they were sold? Im sure that all of you have had some band students praeticalh The hog-tiyou in the halls cramming tickets to Daniel Boone, our meek little down throats. The and Drunkard, Pilgrimage Play, But again the phrase On to Tucson rang hard in our ears and the majority of us pulled through' again. I dont know about the rest of you, but I honestly have never seen certain students and I wont mention any names, work as hard as some of the band members hav( . True, some of them haven't, but thats another article it its self. Most of the orchids should go to Mr. Madsen. He has probably gone through everything to get this far. It s!vud be worth it. LOVEY - LOVES Poem for Springtime Oh, love, let us love with a love that loves, Loving on with a love forever; For a love that loves not the love it should love I wot such a love wall sever. But, when two loves love this lovable love Love loves with a love that is best, , lovable, And this -- love-loving- love-lastin- g love Loves on in pure loves loveliness Oh chide not the love when its loves lovey-lovWith lovable loving caresses; For one feels that the lovingest love love can love Loves on in loves own lovelinesses; And love when it does love, in a secret should love -Tis there wThere love most is admired, loves that dont But the care where they love Make the public most mightily tired. ; e two-love- Another true sign of spring is A young mans when turns to love. Havent you fancy noticed lately all the boys standing out in front of the school with their eyes turning in the direction of passing females, Wayne Fly-garis forever turning in the direction of Jackie Porter, while Dan Wakefield keeps an eye on Anne Romney. Paul Black has had the spring fever for quite some time, especially when he lowers the top of his convertible and drives Peter Brandley and Gordon Whatcott around. Anybody can guess that they are out for a sun tan, or could it be three cute gals. hmm. e Speaking of sun tans, eaefh gal will become best pals with the sun. And net doubt you can guess who will be first to come out with them. Shanna Nichols and Kathleen Elliott will be racing against Jackie Webster and Barbara Stumph. The boys will get one while they are out practicing for baseball, but we will leave that up to Jack Clarke, LeGrande Young, Joe Allen, and Kraton King. jiat-urall- y by Mary Aim Godfrey Get a regular hat, go down to the cleaners, and tell them to block it like the boys. Yes, thats what any of you guys do if you want one of those neat little hats that all the fellows are wearing. Ive also heard that if you dont go to the cleaners, then you give it to Gary Collins to remodel. The gang that is wearing these sharp numbers includes such boys as LeGrande Young with a brown number that Gary Merrill Oaks and Cecil Clark are in gray. They also take brown straws and make like they had feathers on the hat. Then theres Greg Austins, Bob Phoenix's, and of course, Garys. The word from Greg Austin is that boys should be wearing the new spring style Lancer shirts; incidentally, these can be purchased from (5reg at Taylors. One other new thing he talks about is boys flannel pants with side zippers such as Ken Lindquist wears. Pinky Judd, one of B.Y.s better dressed boys, tells me the Argyle socks are still the rage. I think he was kidding, but anyway I like em.. Boys white buck shoes are just the thing with a white belt to match. These are a little expensive, but, oh well, whats money for anyway. Gordon Bullock and Jarrell Anderson, two fast friends, always dress neat wherevei they go. They usually have on shirts with button down collars and maybe sweaters over them. One of the things that makes Gordy look so cute is the flashy key " chain he always wears. I know all the girls have noticed that Samtny Taylor, Roger Nichols and Alan Canfield are among the better dressed seniors. Rog has a tweed coat that catches any girls eye. re-di- two-colore- d |
