The BY high Wildcats took the .Lincoln Timers to task last night, 4 in a game which looked like a push-ove- r but proved to be a thriller. Coming to life in the first few minutes of play the blue-cla- d quintet clicked with basket after to build up a 17-- 3 lead early in the second quarter. The entire first half proved to be BYs game with forwards, guards, and center slinging in the basket from close up, way back and just any old place. Pacing the team was Dean Ash- - basket 36-3- worth, steller guard, who usually leads in defensive play but last night took scoring honors for the winners with 11 counters and lacked one point of being tied for high scoring honors of the evening. John Lee at forward, played some exceptional ball in recovery and shooting, particularly in the first half. Johnson, Mecham and Hansen played good ball to round out the quintet. 4 at the half the Trailing Lincoln boys started ramming through the Y defenses in the second half to tie up the game .pear the end of the third quarter and keep the crowd on edge for the rest of the game. Second half play by the BY team didnt look nearly as good but they were in there fighting and kept the game blue and white from start to finish. High point man of the game was Griffith of Lincoln with 12 counters. Watts, the tall, a'nky redheaded center came next with 8 points. The victory last night keeps the Wildcats in the running for region honors and a crack at he state tournament B title. Iicoln is now out of the running unless a freakish upset occurs somewhere down the line. 21-1- No. 6 H. Y. You wanted a lot of snapshots in the yearbook and youll get them too, with a little cooperation on the part of the student body as a whole. (We thank those students who have handed pictures in.) Most of the suggestions that have been handed in have said something to the effect that you want the yearbood out on time. That can be done, but only with your help. The junior high, it seems, especially appealed for a larger division, but what can we do with the support we are getting? Hand in any pictures you have of anything you think will be of interest to the rest of us, and we will choose the best one from those. By the way, we intend to give a prize for the best ones, so come pn kids, get those pictures in.
