The district is now receiving orders, designing plans, and taking applications for shrubs and trees to plant this spring. This spring will be the third year for the SCD and tree program. Each year between 3,000 and 5,000 trees and shrubs have been installed by landowners in the Uintah Basin using the program. This year the SDC would like to double previous years figures. Some conditions now exist to increase the amount. In many circumstances federal cost share for the woody stock and irrigation systems, needed to support the planting, is available if eligibility criteria can be met. Larger windbreaks and wildlife planting can have much of the costs defrayed. Also available is a widening variety of tree and shrub species. This year the Utah State Division of Land and Forestry has joined the SCD in the available through making district, a veritable cafeteria of conservation stock at conservation prices. Numerous species are available. The benefit of windbreak development are many and generally only limited by the creativity of the design. As an example of the costs associated with a hypothetical windbreak, a four row planting 300 feet long might contain 180 to 220 trees with an attending drip irrigation system. The cost for the bare root stock would be between $100 to $150 depending upon height and variety of stock. SLENDERLINE DELUXE EXERCISE BIKE 1 Group Small 999 BUSHNELL ZOOM Binoc.
