The Uintah Basin has received wonderful attention from all parts of the United States the past two years due greatly to the efffforts of a few hard working, energetic Basin boosters. It is true that these same people have been working for the upbuilding of this great empire for many years past, but their success was limited until the day the Uintah Basin Industrial convention committee was organized. Yes it was a great day, it was a day when the minds of the younger generation were turned from the long dusty roads leading to the cities where they had dreamed of a brighter future. It was a day when mothers and fathers of the Basin, realized that they were going to be able to see contentment in the eyes of their children and that they would be able to live to see them build up this Happy Homeland. It was the day when the pioneers of the Basin could see that their dreams were to be fulfilled. It has been the means of new life in the hearts of all, and with its continuation it will bring new life to our industry. That little group of men and women who met at Fort Duchesne only two short years ago, and said, this is our home lets build for the future, are to be congratulated. UINTAH BASIN RICH IN AGRICULTURAL WEALTH Frequently the statement is heard that the Uintah Basin is rich .only in undeveloped mineral wealth. Uintah Basin leaders know differently and so do the farmers of the Basin so it will be of especial interest to hear our praises sung by one of the nations greatest agriculturists, E. G. Peterson, president of the Utah In a Agricultural College, Logan. wrote concerning he letter recently the Basin, Mr. Peterson says: The Uintah Basin is one of the richest store houses on the American continent, rich in both mineral I have and agricultural wealth. set area a as great thought of it the at use appropriate, aside for time in the development of our civilization.
