They made them worse! The election aJ hand-picke- d chairman did try to make mat reforms but was stifled and he resigned in the wake of tk Mickey Mouse administraioi of the Executive Council One rebuttal to these durjn may be that even if the ‘‘household goods” rule a or con jtitutional it doesn't change the constitutionality of the bylaws as a whole I'm not going to declare all the rules if part of thru are but when an election is being held with one known law they il! might as well be Ifie bottom line is that either (a) the bylaws are unconsuts-- t tonal and must be rewritten that they are constitutional and elections declared void and rescheduled for this year or (b) the student supreme coufl'i decisions art of no effect means the whole ASUSU Widen! government has no fit® base to be built on In either event the present outlook i the student government is bleak at best A1 Petty USU student chooses not to vote To the editor: lata facty Lint TV 1h boJdlLl twt irnrin TW’wrtrAoVf or Voot kofad torroRut or nets l!i- - Tatfwt Snxkn AH-S- LfTIU FOUCY We ngW m TW m d R3 l7- - ! 7” oxiraar “ “ L M° 0I- - F CLASS Ltw WJ2 ° mV Bo It’ time once again to elect our student body officers who wifl represent ami serve us for the coming year Well I'm not going to vote! Every year I hear the same old story about it being' my and privilege to vote and duty every year I have sucked it in and voted Where has it got roe? Just recendy for we've lost our 25 example day drop deadline failed to institute a better grading system suffered with an inadequate computer system etc Not to mention the quality of concerts we’ve had this year Every year I hear people running on the same issues as the year before Why? Nothing is ever done or ever will be done and even if it was it wouldn’t tnake any difference Every year I see thousands of signs and ads telling me who I shoukJ 'ote for What a waste of time and money! Why should I vote for anyone because I've seen their namejust or picture? I feel this is an insult to my intelligence Few people know the people who art nuB’ d! mg and w hat kind of a job will do It doesn't really matter wins anyway except to tb who are running One guy going to do the same job1 next guy We may as coin and say the hell with o tions So go ahead and vote u make you feel better but make expect your vote to be educational experience any ter David M |
