survey taken winter quarter revealed that the majority of USU students are in favor of supporting a bus system in Cache Valley The survey taken by two USU students under the direction of ASUSU was to determine various topics of interest and concern students have expressed It showed that 772 percent of the students polled supported a bus system Students were also asked if they would favor or oppose a J2 increase in student activity fees to provide a bus system from surrounding areas to the campus 709 percent were in favor of the fee increase while 255 were opposed and the remaining undecided Judy McKinney former ASUSU executive vice president was in charge of the yearly survey and said she was surprised by the outcome of students supporting a bus system in dorrs Although no longer in office McKinney plans to work with Logan city officials next year on the possibdity of beginning a bus system Other results from the survey that McKinney considered significant were the oppositions to switching the present quarter system to a semester system and relaxation of alcoholic beverages in student dorms McKinney said that she had expected a positive outcome for the semester switch but added "the survey confirms that students don’t want to go to a semester system" While 193 percent were in favor of the change 73 2 opposed it The remaining were undecided In a cfosrr match-u455 percent of the students polled were opposed to relaxing regulations of alcoholic beverages in USU dorms (332 strongly opposed it) and 38 6 responded in favor of the idea (216 were strongly in favor of
