hands-o- n practical experience of putting theory into practice in the real world His background has convinced him of this Broberg has a bachelor’s degree in economics a master’s degree in business education with an emphasis in marketing and distributive education and has taught in Ogden Cooperative education was a part of his curriculum while he attended his master's program and while he taught in Ogden ’’Cooperative education is an im portant part of my being” said Broberg “I’ve had a lot of it academically and practically” Putting into practice what experience has taught him Broberg intends to build a model program which will operate on the college level by this fall This model will be put to use in the College of Business first then it will be available for implementation by the other colleges According to Broberg each department on campus has its own version of cooperative education but it is a very system with some colleges having very strong programs while others have none “We are trying to come up with basic programs to provide guidance for the colleges to follow” said Broberg "We are making these grams flexible so that the coilees wi3 find them applicable to their steeds “I don’t want to go out there and do the program for them I don’t see myself as controlling programs I'm really here to help "he said Broberg’s proposed program wi3 be much the same as some of the existing programs at USU According to Broberg the work experiences will be structured to include the Audent’s educational objectives These objectives will be supervised by a faculty adviser from the student’s department and the employer These two get together with the student and deter-min-e the learning objectives Then the p ’ (continued on Governor Mathecon: wise building use vital 11 q by
