Since the initiation of USU'e shuttle system the bus has taken one consistent route hen it comes to fmancmic circle It has gone in a confusing student the nor represenadministration Neither the tatives know where the funds are coming from to pay for the shuttle's operation An example of operational costs occured this wee when the "Cadillac" Transmode Transporter blew its transmission though the administration boasted reliability as the bus' strongest point We hate to use the "we told you so" cliche so we U cue the experts In the May 4 1979 issue of The Statesman Salt Lake City Transportation Head Frank Lear was quoted as saying: "We have had some CMC vehicles here that have had transmission problems" Some administrators say students should pay the tab for this type of problem but some student representatives say it isn l their problem to worry about funding So the decision has been left up to the shuttle bus committee which is headed by Wayne Smith director of Auxiliary Services Smith admits he lacks knowledge about the shuttle finances Students paid for the bus with the loss of parking They paid again when the bus was purchased How many times are we going to pay the same bill? Purchase of the bus in the spring revealed to the administration that students are aware of and concerned with the decision process If students pay for this mess then we 'II know L'Slf has an administration that is ambivalent toward student concerns pass-lhe-buc- k USU student body gets taken for a ride LETTERS Onlf to me of us can learn from others mistakes The res! of us hare to be the others who make the mistakes THE UTAH Reader ashamed of spectators TATESMAN USPS tx A" h Cenrae San Sw na’sn rotor totar 3L anrnmm rotor woo tears mtv Jar y Brit ruotytr toons srr O Census 4 " wejn-n-g tre’rws rotor ianars v coev Ajry (at T UTAH Wrc 9y $T ATfSMAA uti Iftjoms 4 I ary on TtWI Sat t irever E3T0SU: OWwcaS totoy 9 a of sow me mete w sowe mem are ao not "cruarty rwnet 9a aowons tr UTTE UWvrrwty or ASUSU eoicr The we9e 9a "em rot w M otws wutt ti IS enacw 00 worn etww ui row maraas t gmt any at lyoewmw an a menace are tmnre via TherwuMStugneS njoant nimarr are gnora a p n me iir am atesmui a suontnae scnoct yau tacrot wriy Owg Snt arms are school norCayt wouone OJTrr artam VtwansOiy tre n tone mamt9flf Day koreay Pwvomts' Day noway are Mrmon Do nontfay art WMays kw 0kStudent Crrwart OFFICES Acts root Business 31 s ot room 317 CLASS Utan M321 SEOQMO wwg of Utah State of antmiy thcvld be thetr MW degenerate behavior during Seturdey a BYU game Never have 1 been to appalled disgusted emharresed and avharmd in my Lie llavui rpent three years in the Marine Corps 1 thought 1 saw tome preur gross things- - l Ta the editor Bane tac Jty atmm Taggart The pea Saturdav a same took the rake!!!
