We Americans are proud of our One of the basic democracy tenants of democracy is the equality of ali people and the right of all people to express themselves freely Perhaps by expressing problems openly and in a structive manner we can solutions I think Americans would lvc interested in knowing more of the honest opinions of internationals— the problems they have encountered and the solutions they have to offer Many of us would like to know what we can do to help them while they are here I know of one program Let's Talk International which tries to increase communication between Internationals and Americans W hat else can we do? Internationals have the same needs we have such as the need for friendship They have the same ngs feelings we that get hurt easily They get lonely and they miss their families and friends in their own countries I would ask my fellow Americans U look at internationals as individuals and try to see our way of have-feeli- life through their eves ask the internationals And I would to be ptient with us and forgive us when hurt them often without nl®“1 to I hope this new year wi brmg more communication derstanding as other and we learn from Lorna Droegewe Thanks Nu’s To the editor: Oft We in the Volunteer would like to thank Sigiri leP Fraternity for all the have given they support doing W past and all they're for now They did a food drive Thanksgiving let “® house for a Big Brothw Big and party organized for °“r S“u Christmas party wn Olympic kids complete what and presents But was all the guys and participated and tr“tfTheyUe great Our kids loved currently helping us w Winter Carnival where need help We want sma everyone elsel to know -- you're great!! tCindy Wbar11 ranro |
