The petition, signed by 18 residents was filed with the courts two weeks ago. But the removal request was later declared invalid by the Davis County Attorney after charges made in the petition were found to be groundless. It was after Blackburn left the meeting when the petitioners including McClain signed an affidavit removing their names from the petition. After the mayors rebuttal, all but three petitioners withdrew their names from the petition after the meeting. Santa Clara searched its records and found nothing to validate McClains claim of employment with the city. McClain became irate when the matter was revealed by Blackburn and he interrupted, Havent we heard enough of this? Im getting sick and tired of this, referring to Blackburns answers to citizen's accusations. In a few minutes McClain turned to other citizens and asked, Why dont we all get up and go home? Blackburn finished reading, and ended, That is my response to the citizens claims to the court. semi-trailer- s. Bountiful City officials discussed the proposal with repreand sentatives of officials of the Wasatch Front Regional Council last week and are continuing correspondence. A transfer station is the only thing weve looked at that would make any sense, said Bountiful Mayor Dean Stahle.
