The child abuse charges stem from bruises found on two children while in the care of the woman, according to the Davis County Attorneys Office. The youngest of the two children, who had been placed there for adoption by LDS Social Services, has since been removed from the home. Under order from the First District Juvenile Court, four other children in the home have been placed under protective custody of the states Division of Family Services. The investigation by the Kaysville Police Department showed the womans husband, Bruce Stephenson was apparently not present when the injuries were inflicted. There will be no charges filed against the man, according to Davis County Attorney Loren Martin.
