Fourteen girls seeking the title will compete in four different areas, including talent, personal interview, evening gown and swimsuit competition with the talent portion counting as 50 percent of the total score. Karen Rich, daugh- ter of Carolyn Rich of Fruit Heights, is a student at Davis High where she has earned superior ratings in Foreign Language and Home Economics. She has helped the March of Dimes by collecting donations for three years, and has held a position at Lagoon for four yearS. She is planning to major in business at Utah State University. Karen will give a readr ing in the talent competition. Bath Laachman, daughter of Joe and Clara Leachman of Fruit Heights has had training in dance and piano. She is giving a humorous reading as her talent presentation. She is an honor student at Davis High. She has lived in Korea and visited Japan. Miss Leachman plans on getting a degree in electronics engineering. Rabocca Hawkim, a senior, participates in the Davis High Orchestra and the honors program. She plays both the violin and piano and enjoys cooking and artwork. She is the daughter of Dale R. and Joann Hawkins of Kaysville. Edward and Janice Gardner are the parents of Robin Gardner of Kaysville. Miss Gardner has ' modeled for ZCMI, she has studied music and drama. She will present a singing number as her talent. She plans to major in family relations and child development. Christine Freeman is the daughter of Joseph H. and Sue Holmes of Kaysville. Miss Freeman was SUSAN SABIN REBECCA HAWKINS the 1982 Davis homecoming queen. As a high honor graduate she ranked eighth in the senior class. She is a member of the National Honor Society and on the LDS Seminary executive council. She plays the violin, is a member of the drama club and has been in debate competition for three years. She is a member of the Davis High Dance Club and has had lessons for 10 years. Miss Teeslink plans on becoming an airline attendant. Alisha Khoury is the daughter of Louis A. and Ellen Khoury of Kaysville. She has had special training in dance, gymnastics, and aerobics. She plans on majoring in physical education and minoring in dance. She was in the Miss Teen Utah contest in 1982. Tammy Langevin is the daughter of Normand and Sharon .Langevin of Kaysville. She is the art editor of a literary magazine. She plans on going to college to study social work. She will do demonstrations of various art styles as her talept presentation. Sutan Sabin is the daughter of Ray and Ruth Sabin of Kaysville. She plays the flute, piano and guitar and has studied drama, gymnastics and modern dance. She plans on becoming an executive secretary. She will present a flute solo as her talent number.
