SUNNYSIDE according to advices from carbon county the utah fuel company has laid off men T hey were mostly fore agn ers but some were americans it is reported that the company will lay off many more it has also shut down all the new coke ovens evl ch it built last and has given those men their time the nines worked four days last week and will work three this week no market for the coke output is the cause and this has afen brought about by the smelters closing down the americans who were discharged are mostly res identa of emery ind carbon counties who have home ard farms aid were told that they would be put back to work just as soon as the birket de banded it the foreigners who were let out say the are all going back to their own country wh ie they have money for if they stay in this country until all their mor ey is gone and cannot get work they will be unable to get to their homes at the depot at sun they are selling them tickets to their destination
