basketball championship game here Saturday night The Falcons appeared tense and tight in the early minutes falling behind by 10 points during the first quarter before settling down to battle the towering Eagles on almost even terms for the remainder of the game Clearfield which had ended the season in second place in Region One also took the same spot in the 43-3- 6 4-- A tournament Lusk led the Falcons with 12 points before fouling out in the last minute of the game Peart tanked 10 for the Falcons the only other Clearfield player to hit the double figure mark Vreeken led the Eagles with 13 points the scoring leader for the contest Clearfield got off to a shaky start showing some difficulty handling the ball early in the first quarter Meanwhile the much taller Eagles dominated the boards at both ends of the court frequently getting three and four tries on each shot while limiting the Falcons to a single try on each shot The Eagles used their height advantage to keep the scrappy
