Show Friday, May 2U, ivd7 Sun Advocate, Price, Utan 7 Catholics Lutherans hold conformation schedule Six young members of the Ascension Lutheran Church, Price, will be confirmed at 8:30 a.m. Sunday in connection with the churchs celebration of Pentecost, according to The Rev. Donald R. Almy, pastor.' The youth are Kimberly Clark, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. David Clark, Price; Karen Larsen, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Connie Larsen, Price; Martin Dick, son of Allen Dick, Miller Creek; Scott Warren, son of Mr. and Mrs. Clark Warren, Price; Baron Biersdorf, son of Mr. and Mrs. Burk Biersdorf, Helper; and Richard Simon, son of Mr. and Mrs. Darwin Simon, Helper. Almy said a reception in honor of the confirmands, sponsored by the Church Council of Ascension, will be held on the church lawn following the service, weather permitting. The community is invited. Almy said the young people will publicly confess before the parish their acceptance of Jesus Christ as the Lord and Savior of their lives, and of their lifelong commitment to his church. The pastor noted that the word Pentecost means 50th day. He said it commemorates the birthday of the church and begins a in which the imlong season of the historic revelation plications of Father, Son and Holy Spirit are studied and applied to the Churchs inner life and outer witness. Almy also announced that a film night will be held the evening of June 12 at the church for members of the congregation and community. Knights sponsor golf tourney A state golf tourHELPER nament sponsored by the Knights of Columbus of St. Anthonys Catholic Parish will be held June 6 at the Carbon Country Club. Men may play 18 holes for $7.50 and rent carts for $18. Women may play nine holes for $4 and rent carts for $11. An award banquet will be held in the evening at Lupos Supper Club in Helper. Reservations may be made by calling Lupos. A small dinner steak for $7 will be on the menu for the occasion.
