This goal, plus the ever increasing popularity of the company, keeps the dancers on the road for over23 weeks a year. This seasons itinerary includes Idaho, Oregon, Washington, Montana, Wyoming, California, Utah and New Mexico. Past tours have taken the company to 31 different states from coast to coast, including performances at the Kennedy Center in Washington, D.C. The company has regular seasons in Boise as well as at home in Moscow. The American Festival Ballet is under the direction of Steven Wistrich, who has extensive performing experience in Europe as well as in the United States. Wistrich began his career with the Boston Ballet and then spent six years in Europe with the Netherland Dance Theatre and the Stuttgart Ballet. He has also danced with the Pennsylvania Balle., the Los Angeles Ballet, the Connecticut Ballet, and the Lyric Opera of Chicago.
