| Show text 0 the antl bill intro danced in the home of chairman ray of the house commit tee on judic ary has presented the re port on the bill for the protection of the president and suppression of crime against the government tl e report states that the committee has care fully considered the many anti anar chiastic measures and has sought to present a wise conservative tu dional and effective measure the purposes of the bill are summed up as follows first prevent resistance to and pro hect the president and vice president of the united states and those by law in the line of succession to that high office second protect the ministers and ambassadors of fore ga governments accredited to and within the united states third prevent the open and deliberate approval of certain crimes and also certain unlawful teachings which if permitted are calculated and intended to breed lawlessness and crime against and culminate in the de st ruction of the government fourth prevent the coming to or natural za tion in this country of those who teach or enteria n such pernicious doctrines fifth prevent consa dacies in the united instates to murder the huleis of other civil zed nat ons provide adequate and uniform punish ments for these offenses wherever corn bitted all the offenses aga ast gov and intended to impair or overthrow the government of the united states |
