His headlight glasses won him top honors In the Creekvlew Elementary School invention fair last week. Sanderson and other class winners will have their inventions shipped to the Weekly Reader National Invention Contest where they will compete with other Inventions from fourth and fifth grade inventors from around the country. Sanderson's headlight glasses are dark glasses fitted with small flashlight bulbs that are activated when a battery pack push button Is depressed. He said they work really well and the Sun Advocate had him test them out in the newspaper's darkroom for the accompanying photographs. Other inventions at the local elementary school fair also out. There were bed sheet suspenders were which hold sheets in place on mattresses. A hotdog cooker consisted of two forks with electrical wires attached. When a hotdog was placed on the forks and the unit plugged into an outlet, the hotdog was cooked in just 55 seconds. well-thoug- c - Y Photos ty Brian Hackart club notes (Continued from Page 1A) Prior to the business meeting, program chairman Helen Costello introduced Kathy Lamph and Linda Hreinson, members of the Ann Self workshop center. Many beautiful Christmas decorations and gifts made by the Ann Self students were on display. The workshop is under the supervision of Edna Romano, Ann Self School principal. Rose Perrero and Tina Sanchez each gave an interesting and informative talk n the highlights of the National Convention of Catholic Women. They both attended the convention held in Minneapolis, Minn. For their Christmas project the members voted to donate $200 toward Operation Santa Claus to be used for the needy in the area. Door prize was won by Jeanie Sunshine Video Scavo. Hostesses were Minnie Bonacci, Ces Kokal, Teresa Ori and Mary Colombo. No meeting is scheduled for December. CWI CWI Credit Professionals met at the Elks Club Restaurant for their monthly breakfast meeting on Wednesday, Nov. 10, with president Ileen Gibbons conducting the meeting. The prayer was given by Sharon Carroll and the pledge of allegiance by Jackie Butkovich. Eva Martinez, ways and means committee, was in charge of the turkey raffle. and the Copies of the by-la- Carbon County Credit Capers were presented to each member. Jeanette Strong, First Interstate Bank, was introduced as a new member. New members in the organization were installed in a candlelight ceremoney by installing officers, Yvonne Olsen, Ileen Gibbons and June Bell. The new members were Leslie Tallerico, Marilyn Robinson and Kathy Anderson. June Bell explained the club emblem and the club pins were presented by Ileen Gibbons. Each committee chairperson gave a report on plans for the coming year.
