Show 10 Price, Utah Sun Advocate, Friday, August 29, 1986 From Peterson Elementary Fredrickson named rural teacher of year By CHUCK ZEHNDER Managing editor Anita EAST CARBON - Fredrickson, sixth grade teacher at Petersen Elementary, was recently named Outstanding Rural Elementary School Teacher by the Utah Rural Schools Association. She received the honor at the annual Rural Schools Conference at Brianhead earlier this month. Carbon District School superintendent Ell B. Sorenson, elementary education director James Jensen and Petersen principal Fern Wilkerson were all present at the award meeting. The award cited Fredrickson in recognition of meritorious service to the students and parents of her school and community. has Fredrickson been teaching at East Carbon since the school year began in 1982. She attributed her devotion to her students to not having any children at home.
