A review of the launch facility by missile range personnel shows costs can be cut at the site while still retaining it for possible future use. The 4,920 acre Green River complex was activated in December 1962 and was last used by the missile range in 1978. It now costs $147,000 a year to maintain Green River in its present standby configurtaion. . This cost covers security, utilities, maintenance and land-leapayments. Boys' State students told Three Helper area boys from Carbon High School have been selected by the Helper American Legion Post to attend at the Boys State, June Utah State University campus 9-- 14 at Logan. The purpose of Boys State, which is sponsored by the American Legion and held each June, is to educate young men in the duties, rights,y priviledges and responsibilities of American citizenship. Smith, is a member of the Carbon High concert and pep bands. He is an and a member of the National Honor Society. He plans to vie for an Air Force ROTC ' and scholorship aerospace study engineering model United Nations in Salt Lake City.
