Show IB UNITED STATES SENATOR is Brian Moss and I am running for the United States Senate because I feel very My name Salt Lake City DEMOCRAT passionately about the issues concerning the people of my state and the citizens of this nation. I believe strongly in the preservation of a just and fair society based on the freedom and equality of all people. I believe, also, in a world at peace that is clean and safe for our children. As small business owners and the parents of four children, my wife Carol and I understand the needs of Utah voters. We live here; we educate our children in the public schools here; we do business here. As a result, I understand that our states future depends on government dedication to quality education and on decent jobs and wages for Utahns now and in the future. I hope you will consider my candidacy. Utah needs to send a strong Democrat to Washington, D.C. this year to fulfill this vision. REPUBLICAN Midvale 200-wor- J. It has already brought devastation to the most impoverished sections of the working class in this country, especially the Black community, immigrant workers, Chicanos and Indians. The semicolonial countries are suffering hunger, infant and massive soaring mortality unemployment under the weight of their massive debt burden. Our campaign centers on how workers and farmers can defend ourselves from the ravages of this crisis. We are putting forward an action program that can unite working people around the world to protect ourselves. We urge the labor movement to fight to shorten the work week for all workers, with no reduction in pay, in order to create jobs. Along with this we propose affirmative action in hiring for victims of race and sex discrimination. We call on labor to fight against farm foreclosures and to demand that the government guarantee all working farmers the use of their WILLIAM ARTH land as long as they continue farming. And we urge U.S. unions to unite with fellow Salt Lake City workers in Latin America, Asia, and Africa in SOCIALIST WORKERS demanding the cancellation of the debt these countries owe to banks and lending agencies in the United States and other imperialist countries. -- TED WILSON Salt Lake City' DEMOCRAT I am a native of Richfield, as was my father. George Bush and Michael Dukalas seem to think it is drugs. Surgeon General Koop thinks it is AIDS. Congressmen from farm states think it is the plight of the small farmer. Senators from industrial states think it is foreign competition. Each official has a sheaf of proposals designed to deal with each of these problems. Each proposal is itself more a problem than a solution, because the real problem in America today is government (and government officials who think they are smart enough to solve all the worlds problems). The growth of government is a greater problem than the growth of drug use or the growth of the trade deficit, or any of the other growing problems caused by past politicians to promote the growing careers of present politicians. As a Libertarian in Congress, I will not try to solve all the problems of my constituents only the problems they have due to government interference in their lives.
