Valley Fair and World Book Encyclopedia are offering to parents and children a new concept to promote reading. It is called PATH. Children and parents make an agreement to read for a specific period of time each day. The childs progress is tracked by coloring a stone each day on the J V J V JI PATH poster. Upon completion of the PATH, the child receives a Certificate of Achievement. It is a program that encourages children to make reading fun. Tomorrow (Friday) through Saturday, Oct. 15, World Book Encyclopedia representatives will be at Valley Fair, offering the complete program as a public service to parents and their children. Teachers tell us that with most children, the number one problem is reading.
