Geneva Burbank Holland, 79, Thursday in Deweyville following services at Granger 14th ward. She died June 4, 1988. Born Aug. 17, 1908 to Henry Lyman and Emily Jones Bertha was bom in West Jordan to William and Alice Lancaster, and Reg was born in Salt Lake to Edwin and Emily Poole. Bertha Deloris Lancaster and Reginald Howard Poole were married on May 17, 1928 in Salt Lake and their marriage was later solemnized in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. Reg worked for the State Road Commission for 25 years, and has held many positions in the LDS church. He enjoys fishing, gardening and working in the yard. Bertha has also been active in the LDS church and has held positions such as primary and relief society president and ward librarian. She enjoys fishing with her husband and works right along with him in the garden and yard. Together they have made quilts for each of their grandchildren. They are the parents of: Leola (Mrs. Ray) Hewger, Spokane, Washington; Linda (Mrs. Rod) Hulse, Magna; Sally (Mrs. Brent) Collings, Magna; Kent (Joan) Poole, Sandy and Vickie (Mrs. Dennis) Hamm of Murray. A son, David, is deceased. They have 18 grandchildren, 16 one and Burbank. Married Aug. 1, 1945 to Marvin Robert Holland. Volunteer at Sunny Anderson West Side Center. Member LDS church. Survivors include husband; children, DeLar Faddis, Salt Lake; Leon Faddis, Calif.; Robert, Montana; Sonja Jones, Maine; 17 grandchildren, greateight grandchildren; one brother, one sister. Joan Houtz BURIED. Joan Grant Houtz, 56, Thursday in Redwood Memorial Estates following services at Taylorsville stake center. She died June 5, 1988. Born Aug. 25, 1931 to A. Owen and LaVon Labrum Grant. Married Sept. 20, 1956 to Vince R. Houtz in Salt Lake LDS Temple. Survivors include husband, Taylorsville; children, Michael, Provo; Craig, Salt Lake; David, Bradley and Julie Ann, Taylorsville; Jolene, serving LDS mission in New York; five grandchildren, two brothers. Margaret Duke, Saturday in Midvale Cemetery following services at Magna ward. She died June 7, 1988. Born Aug. 25, 1895 to Reese T. Jones and Margaret Jane Werrett Williams Jones. Married April 26. 1915 to Thomas Able Smith, later solemnized in Salt Lake LDS Temple. He died. Married June 29, 1936 to James Walter Duke. He died. Served as president of Utah State Fireman Assoc. Ladies Auxiliary 1946. Member American Legion Auxiliary 50 years. Worked at ZCMI Tea Room. Survivors include son Douglas and wife Dorothy; daughters. Norval Eugene Dilley, Thursday in Valley View Memorial Park services at Our Lady of following Lourdes Church. He died June 7, 1988. Born Dec. 30, 1906 to Leon G. and Grace McSporran Dilley. Married Nov. 30, 1933 to Rose Fisher. She died May 11, 1986. Retired from Kennecott after 40 years. Survivors include children, Dolores Vance, West Valley; Evelyn (Mrs. K. Miller, Magna; Norval E. Jr.; Paul C.; Kenneth Leon, Dennis Michael, all 33 grandchildren, 23 Magna; brother and sisters. Metui Tuaone BURIED.
