Show 5B Eightieth Birthday Fete For Verle B. Rosenberg Family and friends are being invited to attend an open house to celebrate the 80th birthday of Verle B. Rosenberg. Verle enjoys crocheting, quilting, camping and fishing. She is an active member of the Granger LDS 2nd ward. The two of them became the parents of five children. They are Faunell (Mrs. Wayne L.) Hirschi, Ogden, Glorus Rowley, Gaylene (Mrs. William R.) Sims, Gayle Rosenberg all of West Valley and Marilou (Mrs. Allen) Linton, Taylorsville. Verle was born on Feb. 10, 1907 in Manti, Utah, a daughter of Archibald and Geneva Ahlstrom Buchanan The family moved to Arco, Idaho for a short time and then moved to Centerfield, Utah where Verle grew up and attended school. She spent much time in her youth working at Bryce Canyon during the summer months. The Manti LDS Temple was the scene, on Jan. 7, 1931, when she and Delos A. Rosenberg traded their marriage vows. They also made their home in Centerfield, in 1951 moved to Salt Lake and then, in 1957, ward, 5133 Heath David is a 1986 graduate of Kearns high where he served a student body president and was a sterling scholar He is an Eagle Scout and has attended Brigham Young University. His sister, Kristine, is also now serving an LDS Mission in Concepcion, Chili. Family and friends willl be welcomed in their home the same day as the farewell meeting. Rama Irene Ackerman Honored On Birthday The children and grandchildren of Rama Irene Ackerman recently hosted a birthday party to honor her 60th birthday. The event was hgld in the Southgate ward from 7 to 8:30 in the evening. Rama was born on Feb. 5th, 1927 in Boise, Idaho, the daugher of 15th p m .on Sunday Feb. 8th. The future missionary is the son of Lynn and Jean Kenley of Kearns and is the grandson of Mrs. Annie Kenley of West Valley City and of Mrs Manetta Hansen of Richfield. 1 Lewis R. Kimbrough and Elizabeth Pearl Grothe who make their home in Twin Falls, Idaho. She married Bill Ackerman on Aug. 16, 1946 in Salt Lake and they are the parents of Joan (Mrs. Steve) Stout and Wayne (Corrinore) Ackerman of West Valley City; June (Mrs. Stanley) Parkin and Mark (Cheryl) Ackerman of West Jordan and Jeanette (Mrs. Randy) Lopez of Salt Lake. Rama worked for the First Security State Bank; Stewart Title; Granite Title and Wasatch Title; Home Benefit Savings and Loan and first Security Bank. She worked as an LDS Temple worker and filled church positions in the Primary, Relief Society and Stake and Ward Sunday Schools. She has always been unselfish and giving of her time and talents. She put her family first, about gives to others, say her children. She has travelled to both Hawaii and Europe accompanied by her mother, Corrine. He died Jan. 29, 1987. Born Oct 23, 1918 to Richard Thomas and Edythe Player Blanck. Married Nov. 11, 1938 to Avon Ann Labrum in Salt Lake LDS Temple. Served in U. S Army during World War Member LDS church. Survivors include wife; children, Richard and Joan Blanck, Salt Lake; Renee and Glen Ahlstrom, Rush Valley; Dian and Denny Edmunds, Riverton, Doreen and Bryce Nielson, Garden City; 14 grandchildren, three great grandchildren, three sisters. 11. William Erhard BURIED. William LeRoy Erhard, 62, Monday in Valley View Memorial Park following services at Granger West stake center. He died Jan 28, 1987 Born Sept. 30, 1924 to Ernest Edmond and Berva Elenor Miller Erhard Married Aug 31, 1956 to Mary Nadine Wilbourn Served in U. S. Army Air Corps during World War and in the Air Force during the Korean War. Member LDS church. Survivors include wife; children, James Erhard, Michael Mull, William Mull, Dwight Erhard, Monte Erhard, Carolyn Hvezda, Billie Smith, Gail Little, Brenda Alent and Genon Lane; 27 grandchildren, one great grandson, brother Kenneth. John Hansen BURIED. John Calvin Hansen, 78, of in Richfield Wednesday Cemetery, he died Jan. 31, 1987 Born Aug 5, 1908 to James Peter and Josephine Jacobsen Hansen. Married July 3, 1928 to Susie Arzella Dutson She died Aug 27, 1955. Married July 24, 1972 to Ada Lee Relber. Builder and musician.
