Warren Trade Marriage Vows The Heritage House was the scene March 25, of the exchange of marriage vows between Dale Warren and Karen Lamb. ickson and Teri Birkinshaw were bridesmaids. Shaun Murphy and Steven Warren served as best men; while Karina Mark Golden Wedding The children of Wilmer L. and Nellie Hughes Barnett are honoring their parents with a family dinner on the occasion of their golden wedding anniversary on Friday, April 4th. Wilmer was born in Payson, Utah, the son of Owen L. and Genevieve Colvin Barnett. He received his early schooling in Payson, Provo and graduated from Juab high in 1933. He then attended Brigham Young University, receiving his credentials for teaching in three years, and accepted a position in Cedar City for 1936-3- 7. It was during his years at BYU that he met Nellie, and, as he says, fell in love with her and convinced her to marry me. They were married on April 3, 1936 in the St. George LDS Temple and made their home in Cedar City. The following year he accepted a position at Murray high and the two of them made their home there for almost 30 years. After four years at Murray high, however, he spent four more years with the S.L. Schools and then left teaching and went into the business world as an insurance executive and State Manager for the next 20 years. He then returned to education as Director of Guidance and Counselling at Hillcrest high in Jordan District, and retired from there in June of 1980. - While in this position - he- took - release time from the school to serve 6 years in the State Senate, where his prime responsibility was Chairman of the State Education Committee. He has served in the LDS church as scoutmaster, MIA president, High Priest group leader, Bishop Councellor, Bishop, Stake Sunday School president, High Councilor in two stakes and a full time mission to the St. George Temple visitors center. In civic life he was chosen outstanding young man by the Murray J.C.s and later was president of the Murray Lions and District Governor for District of the Utah State Lions. He is an Eagle Scout and a recipient of the Silver Beaver Award. Nellie was born in Mesquite, Nevada, daughter of James Elmer and Emily Hughes and lived there until going to BYU. After two years there she and Wilmer were married g and she became a wife and life-lon- mother. She has been president of both ward and Stake Primaries, president and teacher of Relief Society, Stake Board member and filled a full time mission with her husband in St. George. She has held offices in the Murray Ladies Civic Guild, Womens club and Lady Lions. They are the parents of three children, one, Wilmer Lee Jr., died as an infant; O. Lee Barnett, and Mary Lynn (Mrs. Robert) McDardell, both S.L. They have seven grandchildren and three Rudger Coon Notes His 90th Birthday York Coon will be Mr. Coon has spent his life in the Magna and Hunter areas. He retired from the Tooele Army Depot at the age of 70, but he has farmed all his life and until quite recently has always had horses on his farm. He married Vilate Morgan and they became the parents of one child, Wayne and also raised a niece, Mona Eastwood Lowder. Wayne is now deceased and Vilate, too, died in In Pleasant Green and the rounding areas, there are many who call him Uncle, his family tells, sur- and though he has no actual descendants of his own, there are dozens, through the children of Mona and Luella, to the fifth generation who call him Grandpa.
