Show 3B THE GREEN SHEET Thursday, January 30, 1986 Rflnflesttoimes iim Lavnong Vera Smith Walter William Brock To Mark 80th Birthday Honored At Family Dinner Party Walter William Brock, of West Valley City, was honored on Jan. 25 by his family for his 80th birthday. The event was held in the Granger The children of Vera Labrum Smith honored their mother with a family dinner on Saturday, January 25, two days prior to her 80th birthday on January 27. North Stake Center and was hosted by his children. Walter was born Jan. 23, 1806 in Salt Lake, a son of Herman August Brock and Emilie Stelter Brock. He married Myrtle Vyonne Moesser on Sept. 21. 1927 in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. The two of them make their home in West Valley. The event took place at the bana quet room at and an invitation was extended to her brothers, sisters, grandchildren and Sisters and close relatives of her husband, Severn, were also invited to the birthday dinner. Chuck-A-Ram- A tribute to the honored woman was read by her grandson, Roger Hammer, son of Veras daughter, the late Phyllis Smith Hammer. Vera was born on January 27, 1906 in South Cottonwood, the third of seven children. They are all living with the exception of Jay, the eldest. She married Severn S. Smith on June 30, 1926 in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. Five Generations For West Valley Family ; Carrie Wright As Bride And baby makes five, no matter what the old song says, for when little Rochelle Greer was born four preceding generatoins of women in the family, all celebrated. First in the line of these pleased women is Ruth (Mrs. Austin) Johnson; second is her daughter, Barbara (Mrs. Keith) Hall and third in the line is Judy (Mrs. Dale) Pettit all of Murray. The new little miss Rochelles mother is Debra (Mrs. Greg) Greer of West Valley City. Shawna Wright will attend the bride and Diana Robinson will be in charge of the guest book. Friends and relatives are being invited to an open house on January 31 to celebrate the marriage of Monty T. Errett and Carrie Dawn Wright. They will be wed earlier that same rites at the home day in double-rinof ihe groom's parents, Mr. and Mrs. Thomas W. Errett, 3289 Blue Haven, West Valley City. County Road Ssuper-visoby r, GrangerHunter Her children recall their mother has always been a hard worker and one of their most vivid memories is how each summer she would contract for 10 to 15 acres of land to be planted in beets. She and the children would do the work, and the money they received paid for their yearly vacation. She loves to work in her yard, planting flowers, and she and Severn still keep up their over f acre of lawn. one-hal- Vera served in both the Primary and Mutual organizations when she was younger and she worked 30 years in the school lunch program at the old Monroe school. Her greatest joy has always been her family and all she asked for this special birthday was for her family and friends to drop by at her home and visit. and Severn became the parents of seven children, four boys and three girls. They are Douglas, Idaho Falls; Glen, West Valley; Phyllis (Mrs. Norman) Hammer, deceased; Merlin, Magna; Shirley (Mrs. John De) Young, West Valley; Clyde and Rhea (Mrs. Ron) Thurman, all West Valley residents. She Brother and sisters are Lavon (Mrs. Owen) Grant; Thelma (Mrs. Byron) Bennion and Beth (Mrs. Asael) Wallace, all West Valley City; Boyce, Lewiston, Utah; Fay (Mrs. Harold) Ross, Taylorsville and Jay, deceased. McCauley will report for reassignment on Feb. 7th at Beale AFB in California. Her duties will be in the administration field. He and his wife became the parents of the following children: Dolores (Mrs. Sonny) Schoenleld. Clyde, Ileen (Mrs. Kurt) Springer, Glen and Fred, all of West Valley City and Herman of Conway. Set aside. Beat egg yolks slightly. Beat in lemon peel, juice and milk. Add sugar, flour and salt, beat till smooth. Fold into beaten egg whites. Pour into 1 quart casserole, sprinkle with coconut. Pour one cup very hot water into l2 quart casserole in microwave. Carefully set casserole of pudding in it. Microwave uncovered on medium high until wooden pick inserted in center comes out clean, minutes.
