She is the mother of five children. They are Robert, Delvon, both time with her famdy in the Kearns; JoAnn (Mrs. Duane) RUey, and Roger, both Magna; and Kay Anderson, deceased. Her children will host the event to be held at the LDS Lakeridge Ward cultural hall, 3815 So. 8000 West, Magna, from 5 until 8 p.m. They are requesting no gifts. Lymans Note 65th Anniversary : An open house will be given to honor the 65th wedding anniversary of William A. and Dorothy Harriet Marsh Lyman. Their children will host the event which will be held Saturday, August 24 from 4 until 6 p.m. at the north shelter of Liberty Park. They re-- ; quest no gifts. The honored couple were married August 23, 1920 in Los Angeles and on December 4, 1924 the marriage was solemnized in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. Dorothy was born December 27, in Zion City, Illinois, to 1905 Margaret Elizabeth Blose and Franklin Rollo Marsh. She has one brother, Vem Marsh, living in kane, Washington. She has been active in community affairs and also the LDS church, having held offices in the Primary, Relief Society and the MIA asso-- ; ciations. c t- - r ! ; j ; ; ! . ' ' William was born in Oakley, Idaho to James A. and Isadora Fairchild Lyman on September 14, 1888, one of nine children. One brother, T. Mark Lyman, Salt Lake, and one sister, Mrs. Emma Sandefur, San Diego, are still living. He worked at farming and mining before serving in World War I. He served as the Postmaster and as a Justice of the Peace in Wendover and then at the Salt Lake post office for 22 years before retiring. He has held many positions in the LDS church including Sunday School superintendant of the Eldredge Ward and two stake missions. William is well known throughout the Salt Lake area for his Old Time Fiddle playing and has won awards and trophies at the National Olde Time Fiddler contest. He is an accomplished artist playing violin, mandolin and ukelele. Jamie Culley Announces Mr. and Mrs. Jay A. At the age of 16, LaVenia started working for the S.L. Knitting Mills. In 1957 she went to work at the S.L. County Hospital Emergency as a social worker and continued there until the University Hospital was built. She managed the first Relief Society Distribution Center which was located in Granger, retiring at the age of 70. She is active in the LDS church and has taught the spiritual lesson in her ward in West Valley, worked in the S.L. LDS Temple for 10 years, and as president of the MIA in the Garfield West Ward, which, she says, is her first love.
