The Home of the Good Kids is. owned by Marvin D. and Loa Mecham, who feel that in a world where there are so many negative situations facing young people, there is a definite need for the positive characteristics to gain more recognition. With this thought in mind, the Good Kids were developed. While debating what business opportunity would suit them best, the Mechams thought of the young people and how well they relate with dolls and stuffed animals. Children are usually able to communicate their feelings with the animals and dolls. The logo for the Good Kids is a gold star and when each doll is completed, it is awarded a gold star of its own. WHICH ONE'S JENNY? . . . There are many accessories for the children to select from, including dresses, shirts, pants, shoes, booties, blankets, quilts, stuffed animals, and many other items for every Good Boy and Girl. Ann Blackburn, a sister of Marv Mecham and a dollmaker at the boutique, said that a few weeks ago, President Reagan was speaking and asked that small businesses be started to aid the economy, as well as give others an opportunity to earn some extra money. . fn $ mm riTsrrfTs The Good Kids may even save enough stars to earn another Good Kid. Each star has a value of 25 cents redeemable at the boutique. An award for each child to hang on the wall accompanies each Good Kid sold.
