Show 38 THE GREEN SHEET Thursday, June 13, 1985 n Bernard, Bessie Miller Celebrate Golden Wedding Day Francine Faerber Wed In LDS Temple Rites Francine Faerber and Krey Thompson were married June 7th in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. with Sigma and sings in the Capella choir. Bernard Arthur and Bessie Ardelle Charlesworth Miller, A Magna, will be honored with an open house on the occasion of their 50th wedding anniversary. The groom is a graduate of Cottonwood high where he was a member of the state championship swim team and affiliated with VICA in drafting and architecture. He filled an LDS mission to Brazil and is currently attending the UofU. A wedding breakfast was given in the Tiffin Room at the ZCMI center following the ceremony. It was hosted by the grooms parents, Mr. and Mrs. Jay Thompson, Salt Lake. The event will be held June 15 in the Relief Society room of the Lake-ridg- e 12th LDS ward, 3360 So. Sharon Drive, Magna, from 6 until 8 p.m. Friends and family are being invited and they request no gifts. The newlyweds will honeymoon at Lake Tahoe and will make their home in Murray. Bernard and Bessie were married in Grand Junction, Colorado, on June 16, 1935 and on December 16, 1937 the marriage was solemnized in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. Maid of honor to the bride was Lori Stock with other attendants Julie Cook, Suzanne Shumway, Maria, Kristine and Betsy Faerber and Lana Thompson. Bernard was born in Brookfield, Missouri, on May 19, 1916 but he grew up in Palisade, Colo. The duties of best man were performed by Kyle Thompson. Ushers were Jim Cook, Cory Thompson David and Alma Faerber. M. J. Criddle Presiding at the guest book was Robin Thompson while Becky and Collin Edwards were in charge of the gifts. Receives Special musical numbers were performed by Danny Shumway and Matthew Faerber. Over the years Bernard has been a baker, a machinist on the D&RG Railroad, foreman of the round house on the Utah Railroad, master mechanic of San Francisco Chemical Co., foreman on the Alaska Railroad and the Panama Railroad and a member of the South Cottonwood Lions Club. Bessie was born May 3, 1917 in Helper, Utah and grew up in Grand Junction.
