Congratulations to these students and good luck to them in their new leadership positions. As part of Pride Week activities, the SBOs decided to invite businessmen from the Kearns community to a luncheon at KHS. During this luncheon the businessmen would see the many positive aspects of KHS and they would also observe the pride which Kearns students have in themselves and their school. Sounds like a good idea, right? Wrong. Of the 20 businessmen invited to the luncheon, one showed up (thank you Troy Buchanan from Westside Waterslide for supporting our activity) and no one bothered to contact the school like the invitation requested of those unable to attend. So what happened? All year the SBOs have been pushing community involvement and pride. We know that we have several things at KHS to be proud of a winning debate team, an excellent drama program, a superb drill team, a renowned choir program, athletic teams that give their all and, most of all, a number one student body. So why then do we lack the support of several members of the Kearns community? We give our wholehearted thanks to all of you that so support us and you support us 100 percent, but what about the rest of you? It is extremely disheartening to plan an activity such as this and watch it fall through due to a lack of support. We are proud of KHS and proud of Kearns; do you share these same feelings of pride? If so, give us your support. Only then will we become a school truly unified with our community. The KHS tracksters will be competing in a track meet at 2:30 today (Thursday) at Taylorsville. The baseball team will also be in action Tuesday on the home field against Bingham. Be sure to support both of these KHS athletic teams by attending their confrontations. P.S. Congratulations to Lana Ferguson and Julia Cavaness who received Green Sheet Awards for their performance in The Curious Savage." , - LOFETTOME TAPES TO 53 VCRs S495 & 10am 9pm Rewind Contiots Seoa4te Bass A TrcOtc AUTO REVERSE CASSETTE PLAYER ConeofS Slop f lectronc Balance Faooi Controls Separate & LEDOqriai Frequent Swirnes Imt Atifcmvitii A hspwy 3 M.
