Peters finished second to Ogdens Misti Galvaz in both the girls 100 and 300 meter hurdle events, while Remy chased home double-winne- r Bob Durchi of Skyview and Timp-view- s Darren Hardy in both the boys 1600 and 3200 meter events. Remys times of 4:28.36 (1600) and e 9:44.88 (3200) were his best. Ogdens Galvaz posted times of 15:09 in the 100 meter hurdles and 45.65 in the 300 in winning her events, while Skyviews Durchi set a state record in 1600 meter run with a time of 4:19.78 and won the 3200 meter race in 9 : 29.68. Murrays John Pratt, one of the pre-mefavorites at 3200 meters, finished a surprisingly low fourth place in the event. Murray Coach Dennis Dawson said Pratt complained of nausea before the race, but may have just peaked a week too soon when he ran away with both the 1600 and 3200 meter titles in the Region Six meet. In the girls 400 meter dash, Judges Anne Whitehead finished second behind Springvilles Melanie Child, who won the event with a time of 59.72. Murrays Brenda Moody and Deena Loyola finished fifth and sixth, respectively, in the event.
