Through the season Bingham has used five pitchers and that could be the key to another crown. Granger will meet Viewmont at 7 p.m. at Ken Price Saturday. Action will be kicked off at 3 p.m. with Taylorsville meeting East at Price and Cyprus meeting Granite in MURRAY. Pairings have been announced for the County Baseball (Automotive) League Tournament which opens here Saturday. This years tournament is honoring Chris Segura, County Human Services director. Play will be held at Ken Price field in Murray, at Southridge Park in Kearns and at Magnas Copper park. Granger posted the best record in Magna, while Bountiful plays Hillcrest at Southridge. At 5 p.m., Bingham and Murray will play at Price, Holladay and Cottonwood at Magna and West and West Jordan at Southridge. The other 7 p.m. contest features Brighton and Kearns at Southridge. Action will continue Monday through Aug. 6 with the championship round at 6 p m. at Ken Price. Granger posted a 17-- 3 record to nose out Brighton and Bingham for the County Division title. That meant that Kearns was scheduled to play the winner of West last night to determine who met Midvale in the finals today. Results of those games were not available at press time. Kearns opened the tournament 1 with a hard-fougwin over Granger, the only other Green Sheet team to survive the area district playoffs. Through next week, passes may be purchased for $7.50, rather than the standard $10 which will be charged at the gate during tournament week, said tourney committee spokesman Greg Rolfe. Kearns is sponsoring the tournament for the first time this year, he noted. The state tournament will be played this year at Ken Price field in Murray and Southridge park. Both fields will be used Monday through Thursday. On Friday, the n four teams will tangle at Kearns, while the only unbeaten club will have the day off. The undefeated team will play one of the survivors of Fridays contests at 7:30 p.m. Saturday at Ken Price. Win or lose, it will play the other survivor at the same time on Monday, also at Ken Price. If the undefeated team loses either game, the finals will be held Tuesday in Murray, Rolfe said.
