MAGNA. Members of Magna Community church have a proud heritage of taking care of people. Among their projects has been hosting a Thanksgiving meal for those in the community who had no place to go. This year they are extending the hand of fellowship to the needy in the area who are without funds to buy clothes. Clothes Originally the family Bag was set up to take care of church members and friends of the church. However, the congregation responded to an appeal for clothing in such abundance that there is now a surplus. According to Rev. Steve Wolden, there is clothing for all ages and all sizes, ranging from winter to summer gear. Included in the merchandise are mens double knit pants, womens blouses, winter jackets and childrens clothes of good quality. A spokesman said there is so much clothing that two rooms in the back of the sanctuary are filled to overflowing, making it difficult to get all the material out of the boxes and on hangers for easier processing. You dont have to be a church member or a friend of the church, Rev. Wolden said, you just have to be in need. Anyone who needs 1 to clothes may call me at make an appointment to look through what we have. Rev. Wolden noted that up until last week, the church had a food pantry going, as well as a pastor's fund, but it has been nearly depleted 250-248- Meeting Set Against Planned Parenthood 4166 So. 1785 W.
