But salvaged what bits we and contincould, rented a ued on into Salt Lake, hoping for the best. I chose Salt Lake because I wanted a climate that would be similar to Colorado. I sure was lucky it worked out that way because when I got here I didnt have any money left and couldnt have gone anywhere else if Id wanted to. Don had a hard time finding work, and failing there, he reached a point where there seemed to be nothing left but to apply for oh's and ah's (also awe's) they create out of boards, cloth, paint and ordinary people is amazing. I wouldn't miss it. Local people line up long advance to apply for any part possible. Children, youths, and mature people all give of their time to be a part of 'the show'. No one is given a wage and I would be in it, too, if the time and miles allowed. s. I last row in the farthest corner and only those two because we got there an hour ahead of time. Or why people come from as far west as California and from as far east as Chicago to see the show. People drive from Salt Lake, Ogden, Provo and points south as casually as nothing. At least those 'in the know' think naught of going, for they know it's worth the price. I dont know of any other place that produces such a unique form of living drama, but I'm certain there must be. Berkley, in California, "My store, The Baby Boutique, was born out of sheer necessity, tells Don Gansen, a newcomer to the Green Sheet area. "In January of this year I was at rock bottom. I knew I had to be both mother and father to my children and, I had nothing. Literally. "I was new in town, didnt have a job, had two children and all of our clothes had been lost in a flash fire. Weston, Murray, was installed president of the Salt Lake Legal Secretaries Association at its second hand items for children. He soon found that his idea was a good one. People did indeed appreciate having that type of store close by, and things are now going well for Don and his family. At first he sold only second hand things, clothing, furniture and toys for children, now he is beginning to add a few new items to his stock, and is able to have help in the As a single father I need more time than do most men to spend with my kids. The children attend David Gour-leelementary school, and when school is out they walk across to the store where Jamey helps his dad with sweeping and tidying and both enjoy being right there with him, part of his busy life and feeling good about it. I enjoy it immensely. I love kids and like to meet people, and can do both with my store. I find I have new experiences with people every day and it adds zest to life, said Don. Now he can keep his own hours, which, as a combination dad and mom, is a great asset to Don. Itll be a happy Fathers Day for the Gansens. Zupke; secretary dent. F. Henri 10, 1982 store.
