SKIIIilLI Fls! flIPKl L&iraeKIEE) This year, for President's Day, February 15, 1982, at the Valley Fair Mall in West Valley City, Windy plans to build a gigantic American Flag, 20 x 30 feet, double wall construction, requiring four thousand personally blown balloons which will take approximately 16 hours to build. Beginning at :00 a.m Monday morning, Windy will be blowing balloons continuously for the creation to be completed by 4:00 p.m. launch time. This giant flag will be filled with helium balloons, have giant weather balloons attached, and launched for an attempted intercontinental flight. Flights of Windy's creations have crossed the Rocky Mountains and travelled to Kansas before coming down. 1 MIMIL "If we have a little luck and conditions are just right, we should make it to the East coast this time," says Windy. Using his talents for goodwill and good causes is Windy's greatest pleasure. Wherever he has a show scheduled, time out is taken to visit hospitals and rest homes. A small animal or tricycle presented to a child, or a halo given to aged senior citizen becomes the subject of joy for weeks later. Windy is official Utah State Ambassador of Safety ..pointed by Governor Matheson to travel the State visiting grade schools and Junior high schools with State highway patrol personnel, presenting special safetv shows to children.
