Leona Pectol Holt was born on May 27th, 1903, in Loa, Utah The Holts have five children They include; Mack, Richfield, Devon, Las Vegas; Leola (Mrs Keith) Miles. Bellingham, Washington, and Marthela (Mrs. Don) Dow ding of Murray. They also have 20 grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren. Honoring their parents with an open house on Saturday July 4th on their (loth wedding anniversary are the children of Mr. and Mrs. Claude M Holt. Lucille worked at the now defunct Bureau of Information on the LDS Temple Square while going to college. She was active in the music department and affiliated with Delta Delta Delta. Mr. Cox was coach and principal of the Rio Blanco County high in Meeker, Colorado, where they lived when first married. They later moved to Meade, Colorado, where they were in the mink business. He taught at the Fort Collins high for five years and then the pair moved to Granger where they have lived since that time. The honored pair are active LDS members and have held many positions in the various organizations. Mrs. Cox has worked as a records volunteer in many organizations and hospitals. They are the parents of two children, James William Cox and LuAnn Cox Poulsen. Jim was killed in a traffic accident in 1976. They have six grandchildren. Rock hounding, jewelry making, and all outdoor activities compete to fill the hours of the active Coxes. They are members of the Good Sam Travel club where they have made many new friends. The honored lady was born in Murray in 1881, near the old Germania smelter where her father of Iowa. Chosen for maid of honor was Mrs. Connie Richards and flower girl was Courtnie Richards. Angie Vikki Oliver, Herbold, Julie Lister and Allyson Harris were attendants. Best man was Tom Haning while Chuck Oliver, Steve Oliver Rich Schuler and Tom Rooney were ushers. The new Mrs. Haning is a graduate of Murray high and also of Utah State University with a bachelors degree in special education.
