Appleproduction grew by 5.7 million pounds to 37.1 million pounds in Utah, while sweet cherry output gained 150 tons to 1,750 tons, andtart cherry output added 4 million pounds tototal 26 million pounds. Production of apricots dropped 45tons to 245 tons, while peach outputfell by 130 tons to 4,420 tons, andthat of pears fell to 200 tons, down 100 tons fromthe previous year.
