Cook. and other doctors in the Oregon City orthopedic clinic who were sued. Cook's attorney Wayne Williamson, is asking the questions of Walton under an order by Multnomah County Circuit Court Judge Charles S Crookham, The judge ordered Walton to answer14 of 15 questions asked Aug. 4 in a deposition being taken by Williamson, whoseeksto learn Walton's respons he can prepare the doctors’ defense. In the $5 million suit filed last January, Walton contends Dr. Cook negligentlytreated his injuredleft foot in April and Marchof 1978 but hedid not learnit was fractured until he consulted other doctors four monthslater. Waltonlater signed with San Diegoof the NBA as a free agent, but has played little in the NBA since Walton’s attorney Paul Melodia had cut off Walton's answersto Williamson's questions whotold the former star not to answer themon grounds they were overly broad and not applicableto thesuit The questions the judge ordered Walton to answer included whether he had ever used cocaine and whethercocaine had ever inhibited him as a basketball player. Another asks him if he had ever consulted a psychiatrist, He also was asked if he had obeyed instructions of Oregon City physician Craig Smith to wear 1-inch-thick heels, Judge Crookham said Walton did not have to answer a question about whether hefelt he should relay to Blazer Coach Jack Ramsaypossible dissatisfaction with Dr. Cook's medical treatment Watch For Our Super PARKS SPORTSMAN VAILLION BOLLAR SPORT-A-THON BIS BABSY OKI SALE Sale Begins September 3rd!
