Show Styx Dazzles Crowd With Musical Abilities By ROD COLLETT Herald Staff Writer It was perhaps the finest display of combined musical skills, entertainment, visual effects and spuaee reaction of any one, single concert everin Jtah. The rock band “Styx” was at the Salt Palace in Salt Lake City Thursday and Friday nights for a rare double appearance and those who managed to find tickets came away with their money's worth. Combining the musical skills of TommyShawon guitar, James Young on guitar, John Panozzo on drums, Dennis De Young on keyboards and vocals andlead bass player Chuck Panozzo, the group gave an expose of hits from their current album of “Paradise Theatre. The stage at the Salt Palace was rendered in the shape of the old Paradise Theatre in Chicago, where mostof the five-member band began their musical careers in the early 1970's.
