One is a salad of oranges. pears and raisiis served with an orange. ginger dressing. Another is a molded version of traditional Waldorf salad ideal for a buffet table. For a salad of tossed reens. there is Sweet and Sour Dressing from the Best Food's Salad Wheel. The rotating wheel includes 20 easy-to-make dressings for both winter and summersalads. Coventry, CT TOSSED WINTER FRUIT SALAD ‘3 cup real mayonnaise | tablespoon grated orange rind ia teaspoons finely chopped candied xinger ‘4 teaspoon salt 2 cups shredded cabbate 2 oranges, sectioned 1/3 cup raisins 2 pears In small bowl stir together real mavonnaise orangerind. ginger and salt. Cover. refrigerate Just before serving. in large bow! mix together cabbage oranges and raisins. Slice and add pears Add dres sing, toss until cabbage mixture is evenly coated Makes 4 to 6 servings MOLDED WALDORF SALAD 1 package (3 oz.) lemon flavored gelatin i cup boiling water ‘3 cup cold water 2/3 cup real mayonnaise Utah—Page 31 Speed beat in real mayonnaise. sour cream and vinegar. Pour into 9 x 5 x 3-inch loaf pan. Freeze about 20 to 25 minutesor until firm about 1-inch from edge of pan but still soft in center Turn into large bowl, with mixer at high speed beat gelatin mixture about 2 minutes. Fold in apples, celery and walnuts Turn into S-cup ring mold. Cover refrigerate about 2 hours or until firm. Add gelatin. Set until chilled and add sliced peaches. Mix graham cracker crumbs, powdered sugar and margarine well. Put half of crumb mixture in 13 x 9 inch pan. Savehalffor top. Fold together cream cheese, whipped topping and powdered sugar. Putall of the fruit mixture on crumb layer then the cream mixture; top with the rest of the crumbs.
