The checks now being issued are the first to reflect the changes described in Are Rays of August 8, and many families may be much worried because they do not receive any elieck at all or because they receive a check for a smaller amount than formerly. Any man who is now making an allotment through the War Risk Bureau to a relative who is not entitled lo the government allowance, or atu man who is nibbing more than ihe fifteen dollars necessary to secure the government allowance for his de pendents, must make a now allotment. Home, Service workers are especially asked to fake this up with all families urging any to whom this rule may apply, to write at once to the men in service in order to make sure Hint they have made out a new allotment through the Army Quartermaster General, Navy Allotment Officer, or the Marine Fnrps Paymaster. The substance of those regulations has been mailed or cabled to all commanders of the United States forces here and abroad with instructions that all enlisted men he notified of the necessity of executing these new forms if the allotments are to continue. Many enlisted men, however, may rail to heed this notice or fully to understand its significance. It is for this reason that the family shopld be advised to write to the man. in every ease where the famih has been receiving an allotment through the War Risk Bureau, hut no allowance.
