She has worked in the city library for the past 18 years and since 1971 has served as head librarian. enjoy reading. She always seemed to know just the right book for the person. She said, I love people and loved to help them. She has enjoyed her work and her association with the public. MANY CHANGES have taken place since she first started as well as procedures-ithe library system. The SHE WORKED for many years with Mrs. Josie Strong and Mrs. Camella Barton of first major change came when the County Health Center was moved from the city building to the Davis County Courthouse in Farmington, allowing space for the library to expand. Addi-- , tional volumes of books have gradually been added and with the growth of the community has brought growth to the library. It was in 1953 when she and her husband, ElRoy, and their family moved to Kaysville to make their home. They have three children, Larry who lives in Kansas City, Mo; Mrs. Robyn Barkdull, Centerville and Michael who lives in Bountiful. They enjoy and spend much time with their two grandchildren. SUE COSTLEY, daughter of Dr. and Mrs. John Costley, Jo Ellen Godfrey, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. LaVar Godfrey and Ruth Anne Hirschi, daughter of Bishop and Mrs. Max Hirschi will attend the event. Girls State is sponsored by the American Legion Auxiliary Unit No. 82 of Kaysville with Mrs. Ina Cheney as Girls' State chairman. The girls are all junior students at Davis High School. THE THREE Kaysville Boys State candidates are Blake Hawkes, son of Mr. and H 3 Mrs. Howard Hawkes, Burton Perkins, son of Mr. and Mrs. Vaughn Perkins and Bryan Lange, son of Mr. and Mrs. Fred Lange. They are sponsored for Boys State by the American Legion Post No 82 of Kaysville with Morey (Bud) Jeffery as chairman of the project. Mr. Jeffery will accompany the youth to Logan on June 3 to spend the week as a counselor for the annual event. THE CONFERENCE is be- ing held on the Utah State University Campus from June 3 through June 9. The Boys and Girls State Programs are set up to educate the youth in the duties, privileges, rights and responsibilities of American citizenship.
