Members of the Clearfield Recreation Departments Advisory Council had that pleasant task recently as they sampled entries from 25 presenting each guest with candy canes and presents. EARL IS married to Alviva Moss and they live at 348 Francis Ave., Layton. They are the parents of seven living children, Dale M., Panama contestants. THERE WERE fudges, cherry chocolates, peanut butter candies, brittles, divinities, caramels and popcorn balls enough to fill a number of sweet teeth. Judges picked the fudge made by Jettie Anderson as the grand prize winner. Two first place winners were named: Margaret Christensen, pecan roll, and Crystal Hunter, cherry mash. Crystal's mother, Barbara Hunter, won a second place award for her peanut butter cups, and Janice Cheney, Sunset, also took a second piace award for her easy peanut brittle.
