School children attending the local elementary, junior and senior high schools will bring home information concerning the purpose and objectives of the museum and asking each family in Layton to contribute 20 or more dollars so the museum can be completed. THE Ml'SElM was started in 1976 as part of the bicenten- nial celebration. Various methods have been used to pay for the building. If every family in Layton would now contribute $20. the museum debt would be cleared. The museum board points out the museum will be a resource center for materials about north Davis County. It will be an aid to all school children, providing a source for term papers, field trips and learning about the history of this area. The National Endowment for the Arts stresses more people go to museums than play tennis, go bowling, jog. play softball or go fishing. INCLUDED with the information and contribution sheet is an envelope so contributions can be mailed to the museum board. All contributions are tax deductible. Anyone not receiving a contribution request form can mail their donation to Pioneer u2 . the grandporeni are Mr. and Mrv dame C.
