IN 1958 he earned the honor of Father of the Y ear for his involvement in industry. He enjoyed working with the boy scouts throughout his life and was a Life Scout in 1925. As a member of the LDS Church he served as ward clerk for 15 years, as bishop for 15 years, high councilman 15 years and years of service on the Weber Heights Stake JOSEPH H. RAY -Joseph H. Ray, South Weber, died Feb. 9. 1981. He was bom May 5, 907 in South Eva Dawson Ray. He lived in South Weber all his life. 1 HE MARRIED Hilma Mary Runstedt on Jan. 23, 1929 in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. He was the father of five children, four of which are living: J. Harold Ray, South Weber; Mrs. Ralph (Elaine) Mason. Mrs. Karen Easthrope, Vernal and Ivan J. Ray, South Weber. Preceded in death by a son Richard Ray. There are 15 grandchildren and four greatgrandchildren. .Mr. Ray attended Davis County schools and Ogden High School. He worked for the Davis County School District for 38 years asabusdriver and supervisor of routes and buses. For many years he Worked summers for the California Packing Corp. as field man. Farm. He was ordained as a stake patriarch in 1968 in the Weber Heights Stake and has presently been serving as patriarch in the Weber Stake. A HIGHLIGHT for Mr. Ray as bishop of the South Weber Ward in 1951, was the honor of having President David 0. McKay dedicate their newly constructed chapel. Mr. Ray was the founder and owner of the first gas and grocery business in South Weg ber which was a dream fulfilled. FUNERAL services will be held Thursday, Feb. 12 at II a.m. at the South Weber Ward Chapel. Friends may call on Wednesday, Feb. 11 be- tween 6 and 8 p.m. at the Mortuary and one hour prior to services at the South Weber Chapel. Interment will be in the Aultorest Mortuary. st Former Kaysville resident, George Schick died Sunday, Feb. , 1981 in the Twin Falls, Ida. Hospital of a heart attack. He did custom bailing and other farm work for many Kaysville and Layton farmers. WHILE LIVING in Kaysville, he served on the board of directors for the Kays Creek Irrigation Co. The marriage was later solemnized in the Ogden LDS Temple. MRS. GOULD had been a resident of Layton for the past 23 years. She was a graduate of Scoolfield High School in Virginia. A member of the Layton West 19th Ward, she had served as Primary president and in the Relief Society. She organized the Layton Utah Association of Women and was active in the Republican Party. SURVIVING are her husband of Layton; one son and two daughters by a previous marriage, Jay Roger Jensen, San Jose, Calif.; Carrie Jensen, San Jose, Calif; Mrs. Sherrie Miya, Ogden, three grandchildren; one sister, Ann Yates of Danville, Va.
